comment for the 2nd one––like her expression and body language and the overlapping type. Try some other fonts for the title of the film.

Hi Heather,

I apologize for a late reply. Yes, we promised that we work on the process of opening up together!

I understand how you feel that "In the PAST, I didn't
like showing work until completion." It's hard to show an incomplete process, because we may be afraid of getting other's judgments.

I admire you show your process. You are doing well.

I like colorwise, all of them. I like the third one the best, though. maybe you can try other fonts for #1 and 2? Chika

To me the illustrated ones are the strongest. Wondering if you could do Sabrina similar in design to the Sunset Boulevard poster. Do a drawing with Audrey looking right at us and use the Sunset Bolulevard type treatment for the text. I guess I really like the many textures you bring out in the Sunset poster.

thanks, ifit. yes, i've been trying to do the audrey image similar to the gloria swanson image but i haven't had much success. i don't want sabrina to look like some crazy person. she is mellow and down to earth unlike swanson's character. do you have any suggestions on what pattern/colors you would use? i appreciate it.

but looks good so far.

do "some like it hot" and let's see the three together.

okay.

if you go with the styling of the most recent two, you need to redo sabrina.

it's not as graphic as in it relies more on the remains of the photograph than the newer two.

okay?

if you want to work it backward, then you have to pull back on the large color blocks and use more of the photo image in "some like it..." and "sunset..."

or, if you want to go the way of the first one, you need to bring more collage elements under the color blocks to break up the solidity.

and, scale back the opacity.

right?

could try all ways and see what you end up liking most.

the compositions and typography need only minor fix up.

it's the image choice you need to address now.

okay?

In some like it hot, it doesn't quite look like Marilyn. Maybe soften and give texture to her hair and expression. Would you mind sharing the image you are sourcing, so, I can compare? Also, the type feels large and heavy. I would bring it down in size and maybe lower it down a little. 2nd Gloria poster looks good too. Maybe you can find an image of Audrey looking unhappy or stressed, so, that she fits in more with the slightly insane other ladies.

sabrina is much more fun now.

i like it.

please bring the others up to this level.

color palette, etc.

good!

don't think it matters much that it's not exactly a picture perfect replica of audrey hepburn.

close up is great.

good.

you're on your way.
